Tips to get a THIGH GAP!
Remember being a teenager? Eat like a vacuum cleaner and still look fabulous? Man, those times were just awesome!
Well, as we age, your metabolism changes with it and we need to work a lot harder for the same results. It’s doable, just harder. It takes commitment. Commitment to healthy eating and exercise.
Being a trainer since the early nineties, I’ve seen and heard it all. So many still believe in spot reduction and the miracle in exercise for fat loss.
Here’s the shocking truth: you can lose fat and weight, never ever exercising! Weight and fat loss is 80-85% diet. The exercise is to help with the process but is a tiny portion of it. So let’s lean out. Eat clean. Follow some of my super simple snack tricks on my ‘nutrition’ posts. It helps keep your cravings in check and make smarter choices so your legs will look as fabulous as you always wanted.
First of all, there is no such thing as spot reduction as mentioned before (well…. there is: it’s called LIPOSUCTION)! If you have stubborn fat on your inner thighs for example, exercising those muscles won’t make the fat go away. But there are things you can do to get those muscles activated along with increasing your metabolism. Here are some tips to help you get your thighs looking and feeling amazing.
TIP #1:
To lose inner thigh fat, don’t even set foot on an inner thigh machine. Instead, do weighted sumo squats or barre plies and go really low. I can show you how in my ‘booty’ and ‘classes’ posts. You will see REAL RESULTS.
TIP #2:
Add a deficit to your lunges. Basically that means that you start out with both feet on an elevated surface and lunge backwards off the platform with one leg and come back up. That increased ROM (Range Of Motion) will greatly help with toning and sculpting the legs.
TIP #3
Change up your high impact cardio. Try to add jump roping. It changes the power output and gives your legs a beautiful long and lean look. In my ‘HIIT’ routines, I incorporate quick 30-90 seconds jump rope drills. Amazing fat torcher.
